World Allround & Sprint Championships: two world titles for Team Reggeborgh

This past weekend, Thialf was fully dedicated to the World Allround & Sprint Championships. For Team Reggeborgh, it turned into a highly successful event, highlighted by two world titles in the sprint.

Femke Kok and Jenning de Boo were crowned world sprint champions, capping off a strong season. Their victories meant that both in the women’s and men’s events, a Team Reggeborgh skater took home the world title.

Afterwards, the two newly crowned world champions were celebrated in style at Thialf. Together, they completed a lap of honour around the ice in a horse-drawn sleigh, cheered on by an enthusiastic crowd.

Team Reggeborgh results:

  • Marrit Fledderus – 3rd place, World Sprint Championships overall
  • Antoinette Rijpma-de Jong – 5th place, World Allround Championships overall
  • Marcel Bosker – 10th place, World Allround Championships overall

With the World Allround & Sprint Championships, the skating season has come to an end. Team Reggeborgh can look back on a successful year, marked by several highlights and a perfect finale with two world titles in Thialf.
