The new skating season is in full swing!

We take the skate bus to primary schools to introduce children in Years 5, 6, 7 and 8 to rollerblading in a fun and accessible way. Under the guidance of professional instructors, they learn the basics: how to turn, brake and rollerblade safely whilst wearing the correct protective gear.

“Ultimately, this could be the start of what might well be a great speed-skating career”

- Crispijn Ariens from Marathonteam Reggeborgh

“Skating on one leg – I couldn’t do it properly at first, but I’m getting better now,” says one of the children. There’s plenty of enthusiasm in the school playground. Stefan also recognises how important the skate bus is: “I think it’s important for the skate bus to visit schools to get children excited about it. And rollerblading is the perfect way to do that: you’re out in the fresh air, enjoying the sunshine. It’s absolutely brilliant!”

Looking forward to an active and fun rollerblading season! ✨
