Reggeborgh Speed Skaters help out at Only Friends Twente

Only Friends Twente organises sports activities for people with disabilities. They recognise that exercise has positive effects on fitness, self-confidence, and, above all, the enjoyment of the participants. ‘Friendships for life are formed at these events,’ says Eduard Leusink of Only Friends Twente. These sporting activities cannot be organised without the help of volunteers.

Last Saturday, the Only Friends Twente team received help from Janno Botman and Louis Hollaar of the Reggeborgh Skating Team. The skaters participated in a game of badminton, basketball, and took on the challenge of the Hobbelbobbelbaan XXL.

‘It's special that in Twente, a large group of people can play sports together every week. The youngest participant was 8 and the oldest was almost 70. But it doesn't matter how old you are, what you look like or what you can do; everyone belongs and that's wonderful to see,’ says Janno Botman.

Reggeborgh Foundation has been a Special Friend of Only Friends Twente from day one.
