Sponsor presentation Running Team Reggeborgh Harmeling

Reggeborgh Foundation and Harmeling Interiors have extended their successful collaboration with the talent team of Athletics Association Rijssen (AV Rijssen). On 31 March, the talent team was presented in brand new running gear.

Groep talenten

The running outfits, designed in the distinctive green corporate colours of Reggeborgh Foundation and Harmeling Interiors, give the team a professional look. ‘The athletes are extremely proud to be able to train and compete in these outfits,’ says Johan Lohuis of AV Rijssen.

A few years ago, AV Rijssen started a talent team with only five or six young athletes. The team has since grown to a group of twenty athletes and three trainers. This impressive growth is the result of a targeted scouting strategy, talent recognition tests, analysis of competition results and actively attending competitions. The team's appeal extends beyond Rijssen. Increasingly, talented athletes from surrounding towns such as Holten, Wierden, Almelo and even Eibergen are signing up to join the team. This underlines AV Rijssen's strong reputation as a breeding ground for athletics talent.

Impressive performances

The talents of AV Rijssen deliver impressive performances time and time again. The team currently holds no fewer than 95 club records. During regional competitions, they often dominate the podium with 1-2-3 victories. They also make their mark at national level, with medals at Dutch championships in Eersel, Amsterdam and Apeldoorn, among others.

New name: Runningteam Reggeborgh Harmeling

This renewed collaboration and fresh start also calls for a new team name. From now on, the team will continue under the name Runningteam Reggeborgh Harmeling. However, the basis remains unchanged: the athletes train on the AV Rijssen athletics track, use the club facilities and register under the name of the association.

‘With this solid foundation and the continued support of the Reggeborgh Foundation and Harmeling Interiors, we and the team are looking forward to a successful future in athletics,’ said Lohuis.
