Villa Pardoes
The Villa accommodates families with a child who has a serious illness or condition. ‘This often has a major impact on the whole family. Here, they can spend time together during that week and let the illness fade into the background for a while,’ says Daniëlle Heere of Villa Pardoes. Villa Pardoes has an Esther Vergeer Sportcourt in the garden, where weekly sports clinics are given by specially trained instructors from the Esther Vergeer Foundation. Reggeborgh Foundation has entered into a partnership with Villa Pardoes to cover part of the costs for these clinics.
Thanks to the donation from Reggeborgh Foundation, weekly sports clinics can be organised. ‘These clinics are not only intended for sick children, but also for their brothers and sisters. They can also participate in wheelchair basketball, for example. And how fun is it to suddenly be better than your brother or sister?’ says Heere.
Reggeborgh Foundation is proud of its partnership with Villa Pardoes. The foundation believes it is important that every child has the opportunity to participate in sports and is committed to a healthy future for everyone. The Esther Vergeer Sports Court has a special soft surface so that wheelchair users can also enjoy it to the fullest.
